How it all started!

Meopham U3A: Is one of over 1000 U3A organisations in the UK, designed to provide an opportunity for retired or semi-retired people to learn or develop new pastimes, skills, interests and sports in suitably sized groups, plus the opportunity to socialise with other people with a great variety of interests. All U3As & their study groups are self-financing and run entirely by their members.
Our immediate surrounding area includes Istead Rise, Sole Street, Cobham, Luddesdown, Harvel, Culverstone, Fairseat, Vigo, Stansted, Hodsall Street, New Ash Green, Hartley, Longfield & New Barn, but we welcome members from ANY area.

We are part of a National Network of over 1000 U3A groups and our story follows below.

JOINING MEOPHAM U3A
entitles you to attend MONTHLY MEMBERS MEETINGS & GROUP EVENTS  & also means that you will be a member of our national body the THIRD AGE TRUST, with all the advantages & facilities this offers, including regular copies of its national magazine 'Third Age Matters' sent directly to your address, plus access to talks, workshops, courses, conferences & many other special events held further afield.
