This won The Costa Book Awards for a novel in 2013. It was also shortlisted for many other awards and recommended by the New York Times, The South Bank Show Annual Award and many others. She subsequently wrote “A God in Ruins” about the same family.

Great meeting as usual. Our opinions of Life After Life were varied and interesting, bringing many personal and in depth discussions about our own life experiences and why Kate chose this way to write her book. Personally I was hooked with her first book "Behind The Scenes At The Museum" and have read each of her books with eager anticipation.
I have added a provisional list of books we hope to read on our Group Page, as this helps with admin on the website, but remember it is a movable feast and everyone's ideas are important, we don't want to miss out on a gem!
